The mural is a tribute to the Mornington train tragedy that occurred on November 6th, 1920 & to those that lost their lives. It is intended to honour those who were personally impacted by this moment in time & for years to come. The mural also speaks to the present through the reimagining of the physical built form both as the @wokaluptavern & @bruganbrewing. It is a space to share stories, encourage community & inspire future endeavours.
I’m continually pushing myself to create work that speaks to the site, community & a deepened sense of belonging. I hope & trust this has been achieved.
